- Wine & Cheese Party
The Wine and Cheese Party was a huge success again. It
provided an opportunity for members and spouses to meet and mingle in a relaxed
atmosphere. Events like this don't just happen, they are the end result of a
great deal of effort and contributions by club members. For example, Bernie
spent a great deal of time setting up the Markeim Art Center, arranging tables
and chairs, as well as setting up the projector displaying our club's
activities through the years, Jack Poupard furnished the music
along with his talented friends, Walt took care of collecting the money and
checking in our guests, assisted by Jack who also ran the 50-50. There were
many in attendance that supplemented our cheese table with additional
appetizers and some added a bottle of wine. The dessert table was very festive
looking with a variety of items, who can forget the visual treat of Bernie's
turkey cup cakes. And lastly our thanks to all of those members and spouses that
helped during the event and stayed around to help clean up. It was greatly
appreciated.
It was a real cooperative event that made the party a big hit.
