Constitution - Articles VIII and IX

ARTICLE VIII
Meetings

Section 1 - Board of Directors
             (a) Regular meetings of the Board of Directors shall be held monthly.

(b) Special meetings may be held at the discretion of the President.               
                
(c) Special meetings may be called by a written request of two  Club members, addressed to the President and a copy to the Secretary. The Secretary shall notify all members of the Board when such a meeting will be held.

Section 2 - Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Club membership shall be the January business meeting, unless another date in January is designated by the Board of Directors.

Section 3 - Membership
  (a) Regular  meetings of the Club shall be held every Thursday except the second Thursday of each month shall be the Business meeting.

(b) Special meetings of the Club may be called at the discretion of the President.

(c) Special meetings of the Club may be called by a written request of  ten Club members, addressed to the President with a copy to the Secretary. This  request shall include the purpose, reason, and time for said meeting.

(d) Notice of any special meetings shall be posted on the bulletin board and, in addition, the members notified five days prior to the meeting.

 ARTICLE IX
Amendments

Section 1 - This Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the members present at a regular or a special business meeting of the Club called for that purpose. 

Section 2 – (a) Any member may propose an amendment by submitting two copies in writing properly signed and dated to the Secretary of the Club at a regular or special business meeting.  The Secretary shall read the proposed amendment to the meeting and refer one copy to the Constitution and By-Laws Committee for review.  The proposed amendment shall be voted upon at a regular or special business meeting not more than 60 days after the meeting at which it was submitted to the Secretary.    

     (b) The President may assign the Constitution and By-Laws Committee to review and, if necessary, propose revision of this Constitution.

    (c)  A notice of the business or special meeting containing a copy of the proposed amendment(s) shall be provided to each member at least ten days prior to the meeting designated for that purpose.  

   (d) Each adopted amendment shall be entered in its proper place in the published constitution indicating the date of adoption.
